CME accreditation

The International Liver Congress™ 2017” is accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) to provide the following CME activity for medical specialists. The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS)

The International Liver Congress™ 2017” is designated for a maximum of (or ‘for up to’) 27 hours of European external CME credits. Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

Through an agreement between the European Union of Medical Specialists and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognized by the UEMS-EACCME for ECMEC credits are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity. The EACCME credit system is based on 1 ECMEC per hour with a maximum of 3 ECMECs for half a day and 6 ECMECs for a full-day event.

CME evaluation forms

A link directing to the CME evaluation form will be sent to congress delegates by e-mail after ILC 2017. In order to receive a certificate of attendance, a CME evaluation form must be completed online.

Certificate of attendance

A completed CME evaluation form is a pre-requisite in order to receive a certificate of attendance for ILC 2017. Upon completion of all mandatory online evaluations, the ILC registration agency will dispatch an electronic version of the certificate of attendance by e-mail.

No certificate of attendance will be printed on-site. Certificates of attendance will only be sent to delegates who attended the congress!

Italian delegates

Italian regulations for pharmaceutical companies 

Pharmaceutical companies producing drugs in Italy who wish to participate as sponsors or exhibitors to scientific events must be registered by the Italian Ministry of Health.

Application to register to The International Liver CongressTM 2017 MUST be presented to the Italian Ministry of Health at the latest 70 days (Wednesday 8 February 2017) prior to the beginning of congress. Applications received after this deadline will be rejected.

Application to register must be made through a local agency that will forward the request to the Italian Ministry of Health in the specific requested format.

TWT srl has been appointed by EASL as the sole agent to collect applications from pharmaceutical companies and to file them with the Italian Ministry of Health for The International Liver CongressTM to be held in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, 19-23 April, 2017.
