Important information

Before attending the event:

  1. Make sure you test your system and make any necessary adjustments. We recommend you do this test prior to the day of the event. You can test your system on this link.
  2. Make sure to have these basic settings in place:
  • Minimum 1024 x 768 screen resolution
  • Minimum 1.4 Mbps (megabits/second) internet connection
  • Allow Flash
  • Disable Pop-up Blockers
  • Do not use a connection via VPN (if possible)
  • We recommend you to use Chrome or Firefox as browsers
  • Adjust your browser zoom for full view of the platform if needed.

I will not be available 2729 August. Will I still be able to access Digital ILC 2020 content?
Yes, the content will be available from 27-29 August for all registered participants and then accessible on demand, at your convenience, until 31 December 2020.

I cannot attend the meeting, is it possible to cancel and get a refund?
Please read the Registration Terms and Conditions. You will find there all the details.

What are the access limitations on Digital ILC 2020?
Access to all satellite or industry content is not granted to patients and non-prescriber delegates.
Access is limited to: 1 email / 1 access / 1 device.

Do I need to have a webcam for the event?
The webcam is not mandatory to attend the event. It will only be necessary for the Meet the Experts sessions.

How do I ask a question or make a comment during a live session?
Each live session will be followed by a 10 minute Q&A session. You can use the chat or other interactive tools of the platform to interact with the presenters.

Will I be able to network and meet other virtual attendees?  
Yes, you will be able to network with other virtual attendees through the chat. Look on the upper right side for “Now attending”, see all the connected delegates and start interacting with them via the chat. Also, visit any room, see the delegates connected via “This location” and start discussing with them on specific topics.

Can I share my virtual conference login information with other members of my team?
Access is limited to: 1 email / 1 access / 1 device.

I can’t connect to the platform. What should I do?
Test your system using this link https://easl.6connex.eu/event/digital/system-check  and fix any issues.

Read our simple technical guide so that you can enjoy this event stress-free.
Make sure to have these basic settings in place:

If you still have problems, try opening the platform with different internet browsers (e.g. Microsoft Edge, Chrome, Firefox, etc.).
Some companies have a proxy, firewall and internal IT that may block the platform. So if you login from your workplace and experience difficulties, try using an internet connection and/or device outside your workplace.

When can I contact the Help Desk?
The Help Desk can be contacted from 9.00 am to 7.00 pm (CET) from 27 to 29 August.

Is it best to connect on a PC/laptop, tablet, or mobile phone?
To get the best experience at this digital event, we strongly encourage you to connect using a laptop/PC.

Can I connect on multiple devices?
You can only connect on one device.

What do I need to attend Digital ILC 2020?
To attend the digital congress, you require a valid registration, good internet connection, your computer/laptop and a headset/headphones.

Where can I find the programme?
The full programme can be viewed on the event platform (toolbar), congress website, and Mobile App.

Will the sessions be interactive?
Voting, interactive question and answer tools, and chat will be available in all live sessions. You will also be able to chat with all the delegates who are connected then.

What time zone will the sessions be released in?
The official hour of the entire Digital International Liver Congress™ is CEST  (Central European Summer Time).  You can use this website to convert CEST into your local time.

How do I get the CME certificate?

The Digital International Liver Congress™ 2020 has been awarded with 17 CME Credits. At the end of the congress, an e-mail will be sent to participants who have attended sessions.
The certificate will be sent to you automatically by email after having filled the Digital International Liver Congress™ 2020 questionnaire– it will take you only 10 minutes. You will receive by email,  Monday 31 August, the link to fill in the questionnaire. Keep an eye on the email, spam folder included.

I forgot my password to connect to the event? How do I retrieve it?

What is the registration deadline?
Registration will remain open throughout the congress dates (27-29 August) and until 31 December 2020 for you to access the on-demand sessions and Best of ILC slide decks. If you log in during the days of the event, please allow 1 hour before connecting.

Do I need to previously register for the Meet the experts sessions?
No previous registration is available for these sessions. However, the capacity of participants is limited to 50 delegates, on a first come, first served basis. Those sessions will be fully interactive.

How can I plan my personal programme?
On the scientific programme, after you log in, you can select and add individual presentations clicking on “Add to personal program” to build your own list. Click on “Personal program” to see your own list.

Yes, all delegate registrations will be automatically transferred to the new congress of 27-29 August 2020. Please visit this page again for further information.

Can I make a claim for the refund of my travel costs?
We advise you to contact your travel agent directly regarding your query. Refunds may be affected by the original method of payment and any related insurance. Please also consult the terms and conditions of your airline, which may change favorably over the coming days.

Accommodation reimbursement for individuals

EASL will reimburse you 95%* of your accommodation booking if it was made via MCI, ILC’s official booking partner. For individual bookings not made through MCI, please contact your travel agency directly.
*Please note that the 95% reimbursement represents your payment for your accommodation, excluding the handling fee (3,55%).

Accommodation reimbursement for groups

MCI, ILC’s official booking partner, will contact all group representatives regarding accommodation reimbursements made via MCI’s platform. For group bookings not made through MCI, please contact your travel agency

What are the new dates of The Digital ILC 2020?
The confirmed dates are 27-29 August 2020.

Will my abstract still be accepted to present on the new event dates?
Yes, it will. All accepted abstracts will be automatically scheduled to be presented at The Digital ILC 2020, taking place 27-29 August.

I have already submitted my abstract. Do I need to resubmit it?
If your abstract was accepted for the onsite ILC 2020, it will be rescheduled for The Digital ILC 2020, taking place online 27-29 August. You do not need to submit a new version of your abstract. Your submission will be transferred as you submitted it to the new event dates.

Will my abstract still be published in the Abstract book, as a supplement to the Journal of Hepatology?
Yes, successful abstracts will still be published in the supplement. We plan to publish it in line with the dates of The Digital ILC 2020, 27-29 August.  The Abstract book should be available online by 20 August 10:00 CET. Please contact ILC.abstracts@easloffice.eu for further information.    

Will I be able to amend my accepted abstract?
No, but of course you can add data to the poster or oral presentation as you deem appropriate.

Will the presentation options remain the same?
Yes. All accepted abstracts submitted as a regular abstract or late-breaker will be presented as either an oral or poster presentation, according to the notification you received in January. Advice on how to prepare your oral or poster presentation will be published here shortly. For ePosters, our provider, PosterSessionOnline will contact you again to restart the ePoster submission process.
The oral presentations sessions will take place online, so they will be viewable at a later date on the EASL Campus. More information will be communicated  individually on oral abstract to presenters, in due course.

What happens if I have planned to encore my ILC abstract at another conference between 19 April and 27 August?
Abstracts presented in non-EASL international gastroenterology and hepatology meetings and journals will be accepted. Please ensure that your abstract has  not been presented anywhere before 15 April 2020.
If you present your abstract between 15 April and 27 August, it will not be considered as an Encore at The Digital ILC 2020, to be held 27-29 August.

Have the abstract deadlines changed?
Yes, the dates have changed. Here are the new abstract deadlines.

  • ePoster only submission

20 August 2020, at 10:00 am CET

What if I can’t make the new dates?
We are sorry if you are unable to attend The Digital ILC 2020 remotely. Please let us know the name of an additional author who could attend remotely and present the work. Kindly email us at ILC.abstracts@easloffice.eu.

I was awarded a Young Investigator bursary. Will my bursary be valid for the new dates?
All Young Investigators (YIs) who have already been awarded bursaries will benefit from free registration for The Digital ILC 2020, plus a one-year free EASL membership. Bursary recipients are only eligible to receive one free EASL Membership per calendar year.

I am a Young Investigator and my abstract has already been accepted. Will I get a special registration rate for The Digital ILC 2020?
Yes, all YIs who have  already had an abstract accepted will enjoy free registration for The Digital ILC 2020.

Can I make a claim for the refund of my accommodation costs?
